Foster Youth Program

The SLUSD Foster Youth Program strives to address the unique educational social and emotional needs of children in foster care. Student Services works collaboratively with foster parents, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) social workers, placement agencies, school sites, group homes, ACOE Educational Mentors and more. All Foster Youth enrolled in SLUSD will have access to a broad range of social and academic support.

Support Services include, but are not limited to:

  • Educational Mentoring Services
  • Enrollment and Placement Support Services
  • Tutoring
  • Counseling and Case Management
  • Career and College Readiness
  • School-based support services
  • Advocacy
