Learning Continuity & Attendance Plan 2020
Senate Bill 98 (SB98) established the Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan (LCP) as a requirement for the 2020-2021 school year.
The LCP summarizes the actions taken by the district to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Governor’s order to conduct teaching and learning through a distance model to ensure safety. You will see descriptions of the steps the district has taken to provide continuity of services for high-quality instruction, along with specialized support for specific student populations. There is also information about the resources and supports provided for our students’ mental health and social-emotional well-being.
The actions and expenditures in the SLUSD Learning Continuity and Attendance Plan were presented for public hearing during the September 15 Board of Education meeting. Stakeholders were given the opportunity to provide feedback by completing an online survey posted on the district’s website which was open from September 15 to 23. The final draft of SLUSD LCP was unanimously approved by the SLUSD Governing Board on September 29, 2020.
